Price Beat Guarantee

1. Eligible Services

Our Price Beat Guarantee applies to towing and transportation services originating within the geographical area specified in Clause 2, provided the competing quotation is for a comparable service that Coast Towing & Recovery can undertake using its own vehicles and equipment.

Heavy vehicle towing and services requiring third-party subcontractors are excluded from this guarantee.

2. Service Area

Our Price Beat Guarantee applies to eligible towing and transportation jobs originating within the geographical area formerly known as Rodney District, Auckland.

This includes the Hibiscus Coast, Warkworth and surrounding towns and rural communities, as well as other locations within the former Rodney District boundaries.

The delivery destination may be outside this area, provided the job meets the other conditions of the guarantee.

3. Qualifying Competitors

Our Price Beat Guarantee applies to quotations from established commercial towing and transportation businesses with a genuine, permanent operational base within the geographical area formerly known as Rodney District.

Qualifying competitors must hold any licences, permits or other authorisations required by New Zealand law for the services they provide, together with appropriate insurance for their towing or transportation activities.

Quotations from private individuals, operators lacking the required legal authorisations or appropriate insurance, and businesses without a genuine operational base within the specified area are excluded.

4. Comparable Towing Services

To qualify for our Price Beat Guarantee, the competing quotation must be for a substantially equivalent towing or transportation service, taking into account:

• The same vehicle, machinery or item being transported.

• The same pickup and delivery locations.

• The condition of the vehicle or item, including whether it can be loaded normally.

• Comparable access, loading and unloading requirements.

• The same or a reasonably comparable collection time.

• Any additional services or equipment required to complete the job.

The competing price must include all compulsory charges associated with the equivalent service, including GST where applicable.

5. Genuine Competitor Pricing

The competing price must be a genuine, current quotation offered by a legitimate commercial towing or transportation business and available to the customer for the service being compared.

Written quotations are not required. Verbal quotations are welcome, although Coast Towing & Recovery may request the competitor’s business name and reasonable details of the quotation to verify its authenticity.

The quotation must be available to the customer at the time the Price Beat Guarantee is requested.

6. Genuine Commercial Pricing

The Price Beat Guarantee applies to genuine prices offered by legitimate commercial towing and transportation businesses.

Fictitious quotations, obvious pricing errors, non-commercial arrangements and quotations deliberately fabricated or arranged to exploit the promotion are excluded.

Coast Towing & Recovery may request reasonable details of a competing quotation to assess its eligibility. Written confirmation from the competing operator is not required.

An unusually low price will not, by itself, disqualify an otherwise eligible quotation.

7. Price Comparison

All competing prices will be compared on a like-for-like basis, including GST (where applicable) and any compulsory charges associated with the towing or transportation service.

Where a competing quotation meets the eligibility requirements of our Price Beat Guarantee, Coast Towing & Recovery will offer a lower total price for the equivalent service.

The amount by which we beat a competitor’s price will be determined by Coast Towing & Recovery. There is no fixed minimum discount or percentage reduction under this promotion.

8. Excluded Services

The following services are excluded from our Price Beat Guarantee:

• Heavy vehicle towing and transportation.

• Services requiring third-party towing or transportation subcontractors.

• Jobs requiring specialist vehicles or equipment not operated by Coast Towing & Recovery.

• Towing or transportation services paid for by insurance companies or other third-party organisations under existing contractual arrangements.

• Services provided under existing commercial contracts or negotiated fleet rates.

These exclusions do not prevent Coast Towing & Recovery from providing or arranging these services separately at an agreed price.

9. Vehicle Condition and Accessibility

Customers must provide accurate information about the vehicle, machinery or item requiring transportation, including its condition, location, accessibility and any circumstances that may affect loading, recovery or transportation.

The Price Beat Guarantee applies to the service as described and agreed upon at the time of quotation.

Where previously undisclosed circumstances or unexpected conditions require additional equipment, labour, recovery work or other services, Coast Towing & Recovery may revise the quoted price to reflect the additional work required.

Any additional charges will be explained to the customer and agreed upon before the additional work is undertaken.

10. Availability and Scheduling

All services offered under our Price Beat Guarantee are subject to the availability of suitable vehicles, equipment and operators.

Coast Towing & Recovery will make every reasonable effort to accommodate customers’ preferred collection and delivery times. However, the scheduling and allocation of towing and transportation jobs remain at our discretion, taking into account operational requirements, existing commitments, vehicle availability and other relevant circumstances.

Where we are unable to accommodate a customer’s preferred schedule, we may offer an alternative collection or delivery time.

Any agreed collection or delivery time will be subject to reasonable adjustments where unforeseen operational circumstances arise. We will endeavour to advise affected customers of any significant delays as soon as reasonably practicable.

11. Prior Approval

The Price Beat Guarantee must be requested and agreed upon by Coast Towing & Recovery before a tow truck or transportation vehicle is dispatched.

The guarantee cannot be applied retrospectively to completed jobs or bookings made without prior agreement under this promotion.

Once a Price Beat quotation has been accepted and the booking confirmed, the agreed price will be honoured, subject to the terms and conditions of the guarantee and any subsequently agreed changes to the service.

12. Changes to the Agreed Service

The Price Beat Guarantee applies to the towing or transportation service as originally quoted and agreed upon.

Any changes to the agreed service, including pickup or delivery locations, vehicle or load details, collection times, access requirements or additional services requested by the customer, may result in a revised quotation.

Where changes affect the cost or requirements of the service, Coast Towing & Recovery will advise the customer of any revised price and seek their agreement before proceeding with the additional or amended work.

Any revised quotation will be based on the updated service requirements and may not qualify for the original Price Beat Guarantee unless a comparable competitor’s quotation is available for the amended service.

13. Changes to the Promotion

Coast Towing & Recovery reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the Price Beat Guarantee at any time.

Any changes to the promotion will apply to future requests only and will not affect Price Beat quotations already accepted and bookings confirmed before the changes take effect.

All confirmed bookings will remain subject to the terms and conditions applicable at the time of booking, including any subsequently agreed changes to the service.
